The Eden Prairie Track and Field Association (EPTFA) is a not for profit charitable organization dedicated to the promotion, teaching and fostering of amateur track and field to youth in grades 1st to 5th of Eden Prairie and surrounding communities.
We are always in need of coaches. No prior experience with track and field is required. We have training videos, a coaching manual, and a coach coordinator to help you. If you want to help, but are nervous about being a head coach you could always try volunteering as an assistant coach for your first year.
Parents should indicate in the registration process for their athlete(s) if they are interested in becoming a coach or assistant coach. If you change your mind after the registration has completed please contact

All coaches and assistant coaches must pass a background screen, and complete the CDC concussion awareness training. The concussion awareness training is free and takes about 30 minutes. Here is the link for the course:

Coaches will also be sent a thorough coaching manual that covers everything they should need to know and have access to the coach coordinator for additional questions.
